It’s been nearly 20 years since the show ended.
It became one of the cult classic comedy shows of the 90s, and it’s still one of the most loved replayed sitcoms on TV today.
Roseanne was the loudmouth mom who stole the hearts of millions, all of which mourned the loss of her on our TV screens, but now it Roseanne is back.
ABC have just announced that the hit sitcom will be returning to our screens in 2018, and we can’t wait!
When the show aired for the last time, it drew an astounding 17 million viewers.
The show resonated with many American viewers as it depicted an honest and hilarious ‘normal’ American family in the fictional land of Lanford Illinois.
The ABC Entertainment president, Channing Dungey said in a statement:
“The Conners’ joys and struggles are as relevant and hilarious today as they were then, and there’s really no one better to comment on our modern America than Roseanne.”
Of course, many people were overjoyed by the news of the hit sitcom making a comeback on our screens.
But not everyone was excited by the news.
Some think bringing back the sitcom isn’t needed and just another quick way for a network to get money.
Hmm… I wonder what Roseanne would say to them if she could read their tweets? I bet it wouldn’t be all that nice.
Original cast members have all been confirmed to return to the show.
Despite being dead, John Goodman is even set for a return.
However Johnny Galecki, who played David, is busy with his role on the CBS sitcom, The Big Bang Theory, so it’s unlikely he’ll be returning to the show.
What do you think about ABC entertainment bringing back Roseanne 20 years later?
